As someone struggling with acidity from strong caffeine drinks, I was looking for a better alternative to regular coffee and I found pop and bottle cold brew coffee. It does not taste as bitter or acidic as regular coffee. Also, if you are lactose intolerant, whole milk might be your gut enemy. So, you have come to the right place where I review the healthiest cold brew out there with clean ingredients and plant-based milk. It is a win-win situation for my acidity and lactose intolerant problems. It can be for you too!
Starbucks (no offense) is quite expensive in the current inflation and economic scenario. $6+ for a grande of cold brew or regular coffee seems a bit too much for me. I am sure many of you also feel the same way. So, I went on a hunt to find a drink that would be cost-effective, healthy, and have plant-based milk, and ingredients that wouldn’t spike my blood sugar. And, guess what, I stumbled upon the exact cold brew coffee at Whole Foods last week. As pop and bottle cold brew coffee check all my requirements, I bought enough for a week and decided to write up what I liked about this tasty and less costly cold brew!

ToggleStarbucks vs Pop and Bottle Cold Brew Coffee
Last week, I went to Whole Foods’s bottled drink section. There I found this ingenious coffee which tastes great, comes in 5 flavors, is made with oat milk/almond milk, and costs only $2.75.
- Cost: At least, if I compare it to a daily Starbucks coffee on my way to work, then I am saving 50% of that with this pop and bottle cold brew coffee drink!
- Ingredients and Calories: Other ingredients are MCT oil, no added sugar, and the best part is calorie is only 100 per bottle.
- Collagen: It has collagen mixed in it too. I normally use collagen-added facemasks but didn’t think of drinking collagen. So, if the coffee comes with this, then it is definitely an added bonus.
- Plant-based Milk options: Oat milk is perfect for my lactose-intolerant stomach!
- Flavors: Comes in vanilla, mocha, berry, matcha, and caramel flavor. I love the berry one more, not a big fan of vanilla.
- Recyclable cans: Also, the cans can be recycled, and environment friendly.
No complaints so far, but
Personally, the berry and mocha flavors are top on the list.
- The amount is perfect for 1 serving, considering the price.
- Lack of cheap bulk buying options: I am not sure where to find a cheaper bulk buying option, but glad not to buy in bulk as there is a chance that I might drink more than 1 daily, which I won’t recommend.
- Carbohydrate amount: One can contain 16g of carbohydrates and getting too much carbohydrate might not be ideal if someone is trying to lose weight.
- Although ordinary lattes have at least 250 calories, this drink contains 100 calories only without harmful gums and fillers making it a must-buy and one of the healthiest cold brews in a can.
Clean ingredients in this Pop and Bottle cold brew drink
Acacia extract: It has benefits in reducing cholesterol and it also aids in weight loss
Reishi and lion’s mane: It is said to support immune system, boost memory, and stress management. Talk to a doctor if you have preexisting medical conditions.
Baking soda: It helps to neutralize the acid in coffee, which is why I found it is forgiving on my teeth. Another reason to buy it more!
MCT oil: It helps in digestive disorder remedy, weight loss, and blood sugar regulation, although high in calories.
Collagen: It provides strength to skin, muscles, bones, and tissues. People with fish, shellfish, and eggs may be allergic to this.
Cost: If you order from the Pop & Bottle website, it is 50.99$ for a 12-pack, 89.99$ for a 24-pack and 155.99$ for 48-pack, and if you subscribe, you can save 10% per order. Other than that, you can also order from Amazon from the Pop & Bottle shop.
I love the underlying mission of this company; founded in 2015, they are set on making the cleanest coffee with all natural food. It is also a woman-led business, I regret not trying their products sooner.
Other products from pop & bottle
They also have concentrated cold brew, but for some reason, it doesn’t have the same zing to it. If you like almond milk, the canned coffees also come in almond milk variants.

Make cold brew at home
Making cold brew at home is easy. Personally, I drink this even when it is cold during the winter. It is important to choose the coffee ground perfectly, as the taste depends on the ground significantly. To get started, these are the things you need:
- Jar/ pitcher
- Strainer/fine mesh/ cheese cloth
- Milk, syrup/flavor/ cold foam of your choice
Steps| Make healthy cold brew at home
- I mix 2 cups medium-ground coffee with 8 cups of water. This lasts 3-4 days as I drink 2 cups of coffee each day.
- I let the coffee steep for a minimum of 24-36 hours in a freezer. The longer the duration, the stronger the brew.
- After taking the brew out of the freezer, I use a fine mesh to strain the coffee.
- Then I mix water/milk with the brew in a 1:2 ratio, as I like my coffee stronger.
During fall, I use pumpkin spice topping for a cozy vibe. My go-to add-ons are almond milk from the Malk Organics brand. As a lactose intolerant person, almond milk or oat milk are my go to options. I have also tried coconut milk as well. But almond milk is on top of my plant-based milk option as it has higher protein content compared to oat and coconut milk.
