Are you a person who wants some sweet snacks after meals? But worried about the integrity of the food? I get you. I am also worried about the preservatives and hard-to-read ingredient labels when I grab any pint of ice cream from grocery stores.
I decided to try to make yogurt-based ice cream at home with raspberry flavor. Here I am sharing the recipe with you. With these simple techniques, you can also make this at home.
Prep time: 5 minutes
Wait time: 5 hours
Shelf life—1-2 weeks
Summary
ToggleUseful preparation tips
Before mixing the raspberry paste, make sure to sieve it. The small grains leave a bad taste. We want a creamy consistency for the popsicles. If raspberry is not your favorite, you can try with blueberry or some dark chocolates.

Measurements
Yogurt: 2 cups
Frozen berries: 1 cup
Honey/Maple syrup: 3-4 tablespoons, depending on your taste.
Lemon juice: 1 squeeze (optional)
Steps to make the ice cream
- Wash the berries. If they are being taken out of the freezer, allow them to sit for a while and thaw for easier blending.
- In a blender, combine all the ingredients and blend until smooth consistency.
- Adjust the sweetness according to your preferences.
- If you want the icrecream in the shape of popsicles, use a mold. Otherwise, use a large bowl to store in the freezer. It will take around 4-6 hours to solidify completely.
- Once out of the freezer, dip it into a chocolate paste to get that extra coat of flavor.
Ice cream molds
Here are some molds you can use for the popsicles.
My favorite yogurt is stonyfield’s grass fed organic yogurt. It is important to pick grass-fed dairy items to avoid the crazy ingredients in today’s food.
