These banana and yogurt bites are another guilt free recipe to meet a dessert craving at the end of each meal. The ingredients are simple, available in most households, and most importantly, do not require more than 15 minutes of preparation time. Let’s dive into the recipe. This recipe is also from iInstagram I am sharing additional tips after I have tried this recipe myself.
Summary
ToggleIngredients:
- Banana
- Keto-friendly dark chocolate
- Plain Greek Yogurt or any other yogurt
Steps:
- Cut the banana into round pieces.
- Lay out the banana on a baking sheet, as shown in the image.
- Spread the yogurt or yogurt mix over the banana evenly.
- Freeze the bites in the freezer for 30–45 minutes or until frozen.
- Time to coat with chocolate. I used Hu Organic Dark Chocolate as it is keto friendly. You can use any other keto friendly chocolate.
- Melt the chips in the microwave. I add butter or olive oil to thin out the melted chocolate.
- Then add a layer of chocolate with a spoon on top of the frozen bites.
- Put it in the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes. This will help to remove all the crystals that formed during freezing the yogurt.
- Now, it is time to eat and enjoy.

Some other varieties:
With almond butter:
- To increase the protein content, I mixed almond butter with greek yogurt and it was more fulfilling. The mix might be more thick and the freezing time might be a bit extra.
Extra layer of banana:
- I added one extra layer of banana for the bites. You can add any other fruit layer to meet your taste buds.
Must-know tips:
- These bites should be eaten immediately or within a few hours. Otherwise, the banana layer starts to get softer and the taste slowly changes.
- To avoid the ice crystals, keep them in a normal refrigerator after coating them with chocolate. This way, it won’t seem like ice cream, but more like a yogurt-like consistency.
